Welcome to DJ Owner!
My name is Rob, and I have been a DJ for nearly 25 years. I started at my high school’s radio station, worked as a mobile DJ through college, and launched my own mobile DJ company in 2014. I also have extensive sales experience. I’ve been a real estate agent since 2005, and managed a mortgage broker branch for 3 years. My current day job is selling vacation ownerships for one of the top companies in the world, where I’m actively selling in excess of $3 million dollars each year. A note here: I’m not mentioning my company name so that I don’t get myself in trouble at my day job. I might go into more detail if and when I no longer work there.
Now, I’ll never claim that I’m the best at any of this. But, I’ve picked up some great experience along the way. And, the more I’ve learned about sales and marketing, the more I can see how it applies to DJs.
I see so many talented DJs who can’t pursue their passions simply because they don’t have the business skills they need to make real money as a DJ. I want to share the lessons I learned the hard way, so that you don’t have to!
I’m going to focus on two main areas. First, running a successful mobile DJ business. I’ve learned a thing or two over the past 20 years. Second, essential selling skills that will turn your DJ dream into a reality. I learn new things about selling every day, and I want you to learn the skills that will make your DJ business successful.
